A WOOLEY BRACE ON THE OPENING DAY OF THE POINT TO POINT SEASON

Six well contested races to boot the new point to point season into play, as we gather thoughts ahead to the new season and the first race, we have a chat to Jockey Johnny Bailey about the course, his ride for the day and the season ahead.

The first race about underway, ten runners to post and a thriving crowd I take a brief look about the course.

The Best Western Tiverton Conditions race was the first part of a straight hand double for trainer David Brace and his jockey Bradley Gibbs.

Not long after, the Welsh raider takes the Ladies of the Hunt Restricted race. With another six year old Doc Cody.

This time we get chance to have a chat with the jockey with only two rides for the afternoon.But both of them finding their way into the winners spot.
We ask Jockey Bradley Gibbs about his two winners for the day. And how he views the rest of his season.

A healthy tweleve runners to post for the mixed open, the race taken by connections that have had some good trips down to the West country from the East Anglian area.

We have a chat to Kelly about her nice mixed open winner Top Wood, and also find out how last seasons Connolly's Red Mills leading horse Lough  Inch is progressing pre season.

As well as David Brace having a double for the afternoon, the trainer of the first race of the day Kayley Woollacott saddled the eight year old Pointview Gale to go to post to claim her own double and a Chance for Josh Newman to get the season off to a roaring start on the first day of the season.

The final race of a superb meeting put on by the Bishops Court racing Club was a five runner Intermediate sponsored by Exeter racecourse.
The race taken by Sherree Lean's Moreece ridden by the current champion gentleman rider Will Biddick.

A good solid start to the season, with a good sized enthusiastic crowd, good competitive fields and a dry day. What more could you ask...... Only for more please.
