The top table of jockeys were engaged at Newcastle and The Curragh, which left the up and coming pilots to shine at the Berkshire course.
The day belonged to Godolphins' blue colours and James Doyle. Taking the first three races in the now famous colours of all blue.
And close fought second place in the fourth race of the afternoon when another top up and coming Oisin Murphy took to the winners enclosure.

At the Royal Ascot meeting, The Wokingham Handicap on the final day of the week was held up due to one horse taking an unscheduled two laps of the Ascot turf without the jockey.

But a week later, and a few miles down the road the horse takes to the track again. This time with an in form James Doyle, the horse got to the start in one piece. And then came up trumps giving the ' Doyler' his four timer for the afternoon.
A good afternoon also for it's trainer Roger Charlton who also took the main UK race of the day in the Northumberland Plate for its final time on the Newcastle grass with Quest for more.

Doyle was the favorite to take a five timer on the top horse Ya Latif in the sixth race. But the spoils went to another up and coming rider in three pound claimer Ryan Powell on Timothy Jarvis's Italian Beauty.
