NO PICNIC FOR THE TEDWORTH TO RE ARRANGE THE EASTER FIXTURE AS THE RAIN HOLDS OFF FOR A WHILE

Six races on a card that placed quality over quantity. Thirty nine declared runners for the days rearranged fixture at Barbury under The Tedworth Hunts umbrella.


And beforehand a couple of pony races sponsored by local firm  Keyflow feeds i managed to catch up with Cameron  Price sponsor and young 14 year old jockey Jack Osborne with mum Fiona to chat about, race sponsorship and pony racing as a whole.





We then get onto the six race card for the afternoon. The Simpsons Subaru Restricted over 3m. Five runners to post.
The winner Mistress Massini ridden by Bryan Carver, trained by Teresa Clark. And owned by The culverwells racing club.
We have a chat to part of the winning racing club Phil Brown after the race.

The second race of the afternoon the 3m PPORA club members race for novice and veteran riders sponsored by The Pheasant Inn Lambourn. Ten runners to post.

Hawkhust won in a close fought contest for trainer Alan Hill and young jockey Sam Burton.
I have a chat for the first time this season with Alan and jockey Sam.

Halfway point of the card, the third race The Ramsbury Vodka 4,5,6 year olds open maiden over 2m 4f.

The winner Lotus Pond from the Mickey Bowen yard, ridden by Peter Bryan who i get to have a chat with after the Gold cup had been collected.

The Jockey club open maiden for mares and fillies saw a five runner field and a winner that if looking at the race from a few fences you would of thought had no chance of taking the race by nine lengths.

Rogue Diamond gave trainer Max young his first winner ridden by Zac Baker.

The final race of the day The Prestat Chocolates and Richard James estate agents Conditions race saw another five runner affair.

And a double for trainer Teresa Clark and Bryan Carver. Teresa busy throughout the afternoon looking after her runners, left her partner Jeremy Cossey to answer questions about her opening and finishing winners, we also had a chat to the jockey Bryan Carver.
