ASCOT CHASE DAY AT ASCOT 2021

 


Another rare trip out for MJAYPHOTOGRAPHY this weekend 20-2-21 again to Ascot for the well named Ascot chase day, five races were watched for the runners coming and going to the races.

With no further ado lets get into the 1st race a 2m 3f Novices hurdle won by Midnight River 5/4 Fav for Dan Skelton and ridden by Harry Skelton.

Race 2 The Grade II Reynoldstown novices chase was taken by the David Pipe trained and Tom Scudamore ridden Remastered at 9/2.

With the sad loss of Sevarano (below) in the race from the Oliver Sherwood yard.



The 3rd race created a double for the Skelton team, Dan and Harry with Captain Chaos at  10/1 in the     2m 7f Swinley chase.

Race four and penultimate race for MJAYPHOTOGRAPHY of the afternoon was taken by Shannon Bridge 12/1, a 3 timer for trainer Dan Skelton and ridden by brother Harry.

The sad loss in this race was of the Nicky Henderson trained L'Ame Serge (below)

The grade I Ascot chase the main race of the day and the final race for MJAYPHOTOGRAPHY  was taken by a horse and trainer we showed on the previous blog  from Ascot.

 In race five last time MJAYPHOTOGRAPH took images of 6/1 shot Dashel Drasher trained by Jeremy Scott and ridden by Matt Griffiths in the 2m5f Bet 365 chase, this time in the main race of the day and still race five Dashel Drasher at  4/1 same trainer and jockey. took the 2m 5f Betfair Ascot chase.

CLARENCE HOUSE CHASE DAY 2021 ASCOT


A trip out through this lockdown pandemic for MJAYPHOTOGRAPHY, the same position as I had during summer lockdown for my Royal Ascot blogs I went back to Ascot for an exciting national hunt chase fixture The Clarence House chase day.

Six races full of horses going 'to and fro' to the course so here goes
 The  1st race a juvenile hurdle won by 5/4 fav TETRONIC from Alan Kings yard ridden by Adrian Heskin.

Race two a Grade 2 mares hurdle was won very impressively by 8/15 fav Roksana from Dan Skelton's yard ridden by Harry Skelton.

 Race three an unusual big priced winner for trainer Nicky Henderson 14/1 shot Craigneiche wins the Grade 3 handicap hurdle under Tom Cannon.

Race four a handicap chase over 2m7f was won by 4/1 shot Dr Richard Newland trained Enqarde ridden by Charlie Hammond.

Race five and penultimate race for MJAYPHOTOGRAPHY for the afternoon was taken by 6/1 shot Dashel Drasher trained by Jeremy Scott and ridden by Matt Griffiths in the 2m5f Bet 365 chase.



DASHEL DRASHER

The final race of the day for MJAYPHOTOGRAPHY the 2m Grade three Clarence house chase had a number of quality horses that could make a mark on 2021's Cheltenham festival.
The winner the 14/1 shot Kim Bailey trained First Flow ridden by David Bass beating 11/8 fav and champion chaser Prolitologue.

BARBURY INTERNATIONAL A WET AND WINDY AFFAIR

At the Start for the 4&5 YO maiden at Barbury 13-12-20




My first photo blog from point to pointing this 2020-21 season, with the season on a stop and start opening it was great to get out with the Go Pointing crowd.
though all socially distanced and no paying public i got to take images in the driving rain for 10 races with 116 horses declared, I'm told  a record at Barbury.
